Simon Camacho first created Camacho Cigars in 1962.  Jump forward to the 1990’s, when the Eiroa family bought the Camacho brand and began to develop it into one of the cigar industry’s leading brands.  In the late 1990’s, Camacho started the “strong” cigar craze with the release of the Camacho Corojo, a very full-bodied cigar and a model that was soon copied over and over.  Several years ago, the Eiroa’s sold Camacho Cigars to Davidoff-Oettinger who adopted the current marketing line,
“The Bold Standard" while introducing several new blends.

 

Camacho cigars are best known for their use of “Authentic Corojo” tobacco, meaning  plants grown from first generation Corojo tobacco seeds, not a Corojo hybrid.  And believe us when we say that you can notice the difference.
